It is reported that the relocation and upgrading project of Baling Petrochemical's caprolactam industry chain has been included as a key project for management by Sinopec in 2020.

The relocation and upgrading transformation development project of the caprolactam industry chain is located in the Yueyang Green Chemical Industry Park in Hunan Province, covering an area of 2650 acres. According to the overall plan and step-by-step implementation principle, a 600000 ton/year caprolactam product chain will be constructed in two phases, with the first phase constructing 300000 ton/year caprolactam; According to government investment and regional market conditions, the second phase will timely construct 300000 tons/year of caprolactam. The project has been successively included in the key projects of Hunan Province and the "Five 100" major industrial projects.

The feasibility study report of the project was approved by Sinopec on March 16th this year, and on March 24th, it was approved by Sinopec Engineering Department to carry out preliminary work such as measurement, survey, and foundation pretreatment in advance. Baling Petrochemical has decomposed and clarified 91 phased work tasks for project promotion according to five sections: administrative licensing, design matters, preparation for commencement, cooperation with the park, and other matters. The work objectives, responsible parties, and completion time have been determined to ensure that the project construction is carried out in an orderly manner according to the milestones.

The company will further enhance its awareness and position, focus on project construction, strive to be a benchmark, actively and efficiently promote the project, and build it into a project of benefit, quality, safety, green, and integrity.

At present, about 50% of the project site leveling has been completed, and the overall design of the project is expected to be completed in May.
